We not so often can see smog in Astana. But these days, this phenomenon bothers many residents of our city. People address to different urban structures for any comments. We ask director of the Hydro- meteorological monitoring center of Astana city Lyudmila Chuntova to answer on their questions.

A traditional annual report of Mayor of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov to citizens was not a mere formality with trivial phrases about activities, characterizing the modern Astana, it became a dialogue which shows a mutual desire to hear and to be understandable, it let to compare plans and recourses with daily needs of the capital residents.

Report meetings of akims of three districts of Astana are continued. In spite of frost, citizens actively took part at annual report meetings with heads of departments. 

Energy complexes of Astana started to work in reinforced mode, all bach-up equipment is activated, fuel oil boilers are started work at the HES-1, due to long period, accompanied by  decrease of the temperature up to -40 Degrees. These measures let to increase the production of thermal energy up to 1373 G /cal per hour.

On February 2, urban public transport will carry out traffic at an operating mode until 23:30 local time of Astana, despite a temperature decrease up to -40 Degrees. Traffic limitation due to severe frosts is not expected in coming days.

During an ordinary meeting, a housing commission considered documents of citizens, who received a positive decision within the first stage of the State housing program in Astana for 2008-2010. According to results, 167 applicants were approved among candidates in four categories “young families with children”, “civil servants”, “employees of state authorities”, “employees of state authorities, non civil servant” to providing realization of housing. Apartments located in Astana, 188 Street, building 18.

Taxes and other obligatory payments in amount of 762 billion tenge was provided to consolidated budget of Astana city in 2011, it increased on 154.4 billion tenge or 25.4% in compare with 2010.

An ordinary allocation of apartments, which were built within the state program on housing construction for 2008-2010 years, took place recently in Astana. 134 participants became owners of apartments; they applied documents at the first stage. Apartments located in the south from Tlendiyev Street, along the brook Sarybulak.

Today, an activists group of the Mayor’s office of Astana and its structures discussed the President’s address to people of Kazakhstan “Socio-Economic Modernization as Main Vector of Development of Kazakhstan” in Astana.
